Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 November 2026
By using PetrolSpot you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
Prices are reported by the community
Prices on PetrolSpot are reported and confirmed by other drivers. We show how fresh each price is and how many people confirmed it, but we can’t guarantee a price is correct. Always check the price at the pump before you fill up.
Contributing
When you update, confirm or report a price, you agree to:
- Report only prices you’ve seen yourself, at the station, at that time.
- Never post false prices or try to game points, bonuses or trust titles, for example by using several accounts.
- Keep your display name appropriate.
We may remove contributions, take back points, or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Points and bonuses
Points, bonuses and trust titles have no cash value and can’t be transferred. We may change how they work.
Your account
You’re responsible for activity on your account. You can delete it at any time; see Delete your account.
Availability
We’re a small team and may change, pause or stop parts of PetrolSpot. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses from using the app or relying on a price shown in it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
